AccountantBorn and raised in Marion, Ohio, I moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1975 to attend college. Although I said I would never live there, God has a sense of humor, and Chattanooga was my home for 40 years prior to our relocating to Columbia in April, 2017.
After graduating from college with a degree in accounting, I enjoyed working in that field in a variety of settings including public accounting, teaching accounting at my alma mater, and then in the financial department of a large Southern Baptist church in Chattanooga prior to getting married to Tom in 1998.
When our first child, Katie, was born in 1999, I became a stay-at-home mom and homeschool mom to her and then also to Thomas, born in 2002. Both are now in college (Columbia International University and Anderson University) so my schedule is much more flexible. I have more free time to enjoy knitting, crocheting, reading, traveling with Tom, and doing volunteer work using my accounting background in our neighborhood, at our church, and for several nonprofit organizations, including Crescent Oasis. I am so grateful that God has given me these opportunities to serve Him.
